Sunset in Nervi
In September, I spent ten days in Italy. I flew into Milan, which is a good starting point for any trip to Northern Italy. From Milan I made my way to Florence for three days, then to Lake Como for three days, then down to the Ligurian coast for three days, staying in Nervi. Nervi is a part of the municipality of Genoa and is a place I like very much. I last visited Nervi a few years ago, when we spent one night there on our way to the Cinque Terre. It has a small harbor surrounded by beautiful buildings but lacks the stunning beaches of some of its neighboring towns, so it seems less busy.
Nervi has a lovely, paved walking path above the sea that you can follow for a mile or more. That path winds into town, eventually crossing a small bridge. As the path nears the harbor, a view opens up with a blue railing providing a sinuous curve and leading line towards the town skyline. I decided this would be the best place for a sunset photo. I had set aside two nights for this location but got lucky and had a nice sunset the first night. Here’s the photo:
