Summer in Paris, Part Two
We recently returned from five days in Paris. Like years past, I planned to do the bulk of my photography on film, hoping to capture Paris in a more timeless way using vintage equipment.
Prior to the trip, I built a Google map of places I hope to visit, and there were many new places near our apartment in Bastille. As is typical for me, I returned to a few favorite places as well. Here are five photos from the trip.
Le Corner Saint-Germain is in the popular Latin Quarter on the Boulevard Saint-Germain. When I walked by around 9am, it was just opening up and there were no customers yet:
Cafe Fleurus is located on Avenue Kleber, about halfway between the Arc de Triomphe and the Trocadero. The orange car outside caught my eye. Decorated with the cafe logo, I assume it is always there to draw attention:
I’m afraid I don’t recall where I captured this simple table scene. I do like to photograph cafe tables and chairs, so this is another one for that collection:
The Café des Anges was located on Rue Roquette, not far from our apartment. I liked the way the light was hitting it:
This souvenir store was located just across the river from Notre Dame:
I’ll be sharing more Paris photos in upcoming posts!
