Manarola

After Vernazza, Manarola was probably the village I wanted to visit most in the Cinque Terre.  From our base in Vernazza, it was easy to reach using the local trains, as the lower trails connecting the towns were closed.  The view, of course, was spectacular.  In fact, I found myself taking various photos of the village throughout the day, and into the night.  It was only later I realized that I barely took any photos inside the village itself — just one or two!

It’s a beautiful place and well worth a visit.  The view at sunset is great, you can walk along the trail and see the entire village lit up.

In case you missed the previous posts, here are photos from the other four villages of the Cinque Terre:  Vernazza, Monterosso, Corniglia, and Riomaggiore.
